![]() ![]() If I weren't spending so much time on the highway, I'd keep these things in a heartbeat. ![]() I am trying to sell mine, due to the amount of miles my truck sees has shifted towards more highway use, and I am going back to my factory rims and tires. I havent even gotten a tire to so much as slip without copious amounts of loud pedal use on wet gravel, dirt, shallow mud, and some rocky river bank type terrain. These things ride like iron though, in 1000 highway miles,there is almost no noticeable wear, and mine still have the molding marks, and paint between the tread blocks from the factory identification. They also make quite a bit more noise on the highway than you get out of factory tires or similar tires, but in comparison to other offroad oriented tires, they are pretty quiet. They are HEAVY, as almost 115 lbs each on a set of XD series Monsters, there is a pretty noticeable decrease in acceleration, and therefore increased fuel consumption. However, there are some things to consider with these tires before spending the cash. What's the latest on tuners for our trucks Last I read the Trinity was having issues, but the Bully Dog was. The broader width of the 275/60R20 will provide a wider contact patch, improving traction and grip. This is because the 275 /60R20 has a width of 275 mm, while the 275/55R20 has a width of 265 mm. I don't have any good pics to post, but there is one in my avatar. A 275/60R20 tire is 10 mm wider than a 275/55R20 tire. Over all a good tire but doesn't do one thing perfect just a lot of things well. The Red Letter GRABBER X3 tires are a hallmark of the General Tire brand. I bought them more for the looks then anything, I still get a lot of complements on them. I would say much better then a mud tire in these conditions but not quite as good as a quality all terrain. Only rotated three times so far and I am just now starting to see a little cupping in them. tire for your RAM 1500, consider the General Grabber A/TX Tire. They are a bit soft, so I don't think they're great for towing heavy and mine have tore up a little with heavy dirt road use. ![]() so that means I should get an easy 47 to 50K out of them.
